Wow finally done - this multiMINIMAL icon set includes all icons I consider to be necessary within a windows enviroment



I will add further icons to this set, which can be looked up @ my journal

well so now it's time for some clues why I did some icons the way they are right now:



I'll start with the Mozilla Icon:



I know many will think this is a Mortal Kombat Icon, but this is far from the truth. I found out that this illustration is a part of an chinese calender, representing the time of the dragon. I took this symbol for Mozilla because the Devolpers of Mozilla took a large lizard as a symbol for their browser. I decided to relate dragons to lizards - this is how I came up with this icon



the Log-off icon has to be explaned too:



I decided not to move to far away from windows original icons, so in this case the windoes icon is a key with a windows sign on it. I wanted to draw a special key. A day before I did this icon I watched the animatrix again. This key is a adaptation of the key that the main character of "World Record" carries and throws in one scene. I like this key very much so that's why I did it!



I think the rest of the icons will be self-explaining but if there are questions, just send me a note and i'll answer them!



I just want to add some technical aspects:



All icons have been made with Freehand 10, exported to PNG(32Bits) rescaled with Photoshop and compiled to one single ICL (Icon Library File) with Microangelo. All icons are saved as XP icons with 128x128,64x64,48x48,32x32 and 16x16 pixels



ICL's can be used by all Windows Versions because it is a native Windows file type. To enable your special icons (my computer e.g.) to change you will need a special programm that is able to change system icons (like microangelo On Display)
